Many fine photographs. Excellent representation of chronometer makers. Typically provides many examples from each maker. Chapter organization is fine, however, the focus is highly technical. This is a great reference work primarily because of the large number of detailed images. However a big limitation is the lack of an index. This makes finding a particular maker's examples very difficult.
